Flex School
Flex School opens its classroom doors in February. All seminars are free and open to the general public. The first three week seminar course, The Subject to the Sublime, will be taught by Houston based writer and philosopher Joshua Lawrence and will be a lively look at the sometimes thorny relationship between the construct of the self and the landscape that surrounds us.
Lawrence specializes in Continental philosophy of religion and political theology, with a strong interest in conceptual approaches to art and literature. He is a contributing editor for the Journal of Religion, Identity, and Politics, and holds membership in the American Academy of Religion, Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy, and the American Weil Society.
No prior experience with philosophy is needed to take part in this fantastic opportunity for in depth in a lively discussion.
Class is open to 15 students and will be filled on a first come basis. Interested participants can sign up below.
