Flex School opens its classroom doors. All seminars are free and open to the general public.  The first of our three-week seminar course, The Subject to the Sublime, will be taught by Houston based writer and philosopher Joshua Lawrence and will be a lively look at the sometimes thorny relationship between the construct of the self and the landscape that surrounds us. Lawrence specializes in Continental philosophy of religion and political theology, with a strong interest in conceptual approaches to art and literature. He is a contributing editor for the Journal of Religion, Identity, and Politics, and holds membership in the American Academy of Religion, Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy, and the American Weil Society.
